Construction Starting for English Tavern Road Project in Lynchburg, Virginia

LYNCHBURG, VA. (November 5, 2019) – Project update from Lynchburg, Virginia!  Construction is scheduled to start this week for the Phase 1 English Commons subdivision on English Tavern Road off U.S 29.  The 15.8-acre site includes 143 townhome units, dog park, green space, outdoor swimming pool, and a 2,400 square foot clubhouse.  Working alongside client, developer, and builder, Gordon Cudd, Balzer and Associates provided civil engineering and wetland services for this project, as well as handled the zoning, permitting, and wetland delineation.

Following recent approval from the Campbell County Planning Commission and a unanimous vote from the Campbell County Board of Supervisors, Balzer and Associates is also providing civil engineering services for the Phase 2 English Commons apartment complex on the adjacent property.  The 10-acre site will include 9, 3-story apartment buildings totaling over 230 units.  Phase 2 is currently in the design phase with the next step to submit permit drawings to Campbell County.
