Sean Horne Announced as President

(June 3, 2022) – Balzer and Associates is excited to announce that we are welcoming our 3rd generation of leadership with the appointment of Sean Horne, LA as President. He succeeds Jim McAden, who led firm since 1984. Throughout the company’s 54-year history, Balzer & Associates has successfully developed and transitioned leaders at every level of the company.

Sean has been with the company for 23 years. He earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech. Since 2001, he led the Roanoke land development efforts until beginning the transition into his new role last year. As President, Sean will continue to focus on the firm’s strategic efforts while working alongside our leadership and employees to address the needs of our clients and ensure they remain our top priority.
