Meal Preppin’ for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (June 27, 2019) – We’re putting on the gloves and firing up the stoves. This past Monday, volunteers from Balzer & Associates’ Richmond office came together at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond, Virginia, to prepare meals for families whose children are currently receiving medical care. It is not uncommon for families to spend long and challenging hours in the healthcare environment so, in support of these families, our unofficial Balzer “Chefs” prepped, cooked, and packaged food for around 15 guests. The meal consisted of a buffet-style taco bar with all the fixings, street corn, roasted potatoes, and a Mexican spiced cinnamon apple crisp for dessert.
Our Food Network-esque kitchen staff included Barret Hoffman, James Ford, Anne Miller, Emily Salkind, and Lee Jones. Members of the Balzer team will be in the kitchen once again this Monday, July 1st.
