ON A HIRING ROLL…
New faces are popping up throughout our offices. In our New River Valley office, Balzer and Associates, Inc. is pleased to welcome Gretchen Merix to our team of talented professionals providing development consultation to our clients. Gretchen grew up in Blacksburg and graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Upon graduation, she and her husband moved to Wilmington, NC where she was employed at a local Engineering firm and completed projects with all three of the major departments – Land Planning, Surveying, and Site/Civil Engineering. Gretchen’s many volunteer efforts have included planning and directing a number of benefit shows, featuring dance and music, to raise funds for local charities. After spending 12 years in North Carolina, Gretchen and her husband have decided to return home to Blacksburg and we are very excited to welcome her home.
If you are looking for an opportunity to be a part of a team that is focused on taking our clients’ dreams from concept to reality, we are looking for:
- An Architect to expand our Architectural presence in the Shenandoah Valley (licensed, 5 years’ experience, eager to grow a Department)
- An Engineer to serve our growing client base in Richmond and Staunton (entry level Civil Engineer or Landscape Architect)
- Land Survey field personnel to supplement our staff in Richmond, Staunton, Harrisonburg, Roanoke, and Christiansburg (no experience necessary or experienced, we need both)
